System Requirements

Right-click the parent (first) design element, choose "Justification" from the context menu and decide how to align any objects that you plan to drop inside this design element. In our example, objects will be right- aligned and centered vertically.

Now right-click the child (second) design element set justification options.

Create a second design element, set different properties and drag the new design element into the first one. You now have created two nested design elements, each one with unique properties.

Set Properties

Right-click on the design element and choose "Design Element Properties". The sample on the left illustrates certain properties and the resulting color pane and border.

Update the Design

You can easily update the design by dragging objects in or out of the design elements, or by changing the properties.

Finalize the Design

Create a text element and drag it into the parent element. Then scale a portrait to the appropriate size and drag it into the child element.

Design elements are container objects that allow you to group together texts and images and align them automatically. There are many formatting options, including borders, backgrounds and color panes. Design elements can be nested as needed.

To create a design element, right-click the page background and open the context menu.

Choose "Insert | New Design Element".

Use the sizing handles as needed. Guidelines can help with perfect positioning.
